Apple’s New iPad Review
Posted In BloggingThe iPad is a new computer released by the Apple company, who are known for their great computers, iPods and iPhones. They announced it’s features and release date on January 27, 2010. With a release date of April 2010, they announced that the iPad will come in a Wi-Fi only model and a Wi-Fi and 3G model which would cost an additional $130.00 because of the added 3G hardware inside this new slim, touchscreen, tablet PC. With a thickness of only 1/2 an inch, it has a weight of 1.5 pounds for the Wi-Fi model and the 3G model weighs just a little more at 1.6 pounds. Beautiful 1024 by 768 pixel images can be displayed on a 9.7 inch diagonal touchscreen. The battery can last up to 10 hours if you surf the web, watch videos or listen to music. The battery can last longer if you do not do these activities 10 hours straight. Both models of the iPad has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology built in, but neither of them include a built in camera. Should a consumer want a camera they can simply purchase the accessory and use the integrated microphone for audio input. Pricing for the iPad starts at $499 for the 16 GB model ($629 for 3G), $599 for 32 GB ($729 for 3G), and $699 for the 64 GB model ($829 for 3G). Internet service without Wi-Fi will be provided by AT&T, the same company that provides internet for the iPhone. There will be no contracts as the internet services will be prepaid. You can get the $14.99 a month plan for 250 MB of data usage, or the $29.99 a month plan for an unlimited amount of data usage. Both of these plans can be activated for a month at a time from the iPad itself using a credit card or debit card.
