How Twitter Has Impacted My Life

I would say just about a month ago I was reading another blog (Problogger) and post after post mentioned Twitter. Twitter is the new thing, Twitter is the next wave of the future, Twitter is the new Drug of choice for nerds. I figured being an addictive nerd I should try in for myself. You know you never get high the first time, and I didn’t. I thought it was lame and stupid, especially being a blogger, I wanted to write more. So I said fuck it (excuse my language) and I turned away from it. But I just kept hearing about and reading about it and I thought I’d give it another shot. What really got me into Twitter was the apps. If it wasn’t for the apps I would not be on Twitter. I installed Twitterfox for Firefox and now all day I receive tweets and I can respond to them. And I even use it as a bookmarking tool. So if I’m on an interested site, I will type

That way I’m keeping a bookmark and sharing it at the same time.
Perhaps the biggest way Twitter has impacted me is the fact that this very post came as a suggestion from another tweeter. I simply asked What should I blog about and boom! Up came this suggestion, so I ran with it. Thanks @olorinpc
Also I just started this new blog you are reading and already Twitter has become the third highest source for my traffic behind direct input and google, that’s huge. So I encourage all bloggers to sign up for Twitter, if not for ideas at least for some good relevant traffic.
Thanks Twitter.
