The 20″ laptop is a great laptop for a wedding photographer. While the 20 inch laptop is somewhat rare to see, there are a few professions that would really take advantage of such a large and heavy laptop. That size laptop also works great not only for editing photos of the wedding, but also for displaying photos at the reception.

Edit Photos
A 20 inch laptop is the prefect laptop for editing photos. While most photographers will have a 20-24 inch screen and a full sized desktop for editing photos back at the studio, the 20″ laptop works great when you need to have a portable editing computer. It allows you to edit some of the photos you shoot earlier at the wedding so they can be displayed at the reception.

Display Photos
One of the coolest things you can do as a wedding photographer is show the guests at the reception some of the photos from the wedding and also show some of the photos taken between the wedding and the reception. I’ve been to two different weddings where the photographer did this and it was a big hit. Definitely something I would recommend to any photographer looking to make a difference and stand out from the rest.

Laptop Bag
It’s important to remember to grab a laptop bag or laptop sleeve for your 20 inch laptop. A 20 inch laptop bag is going to be a bit harder to find however than your typical sized laptop bag. It’s a small investment that’s worth while for carrying your laptop around from wedding job to wedding job.

While there are many reasons why a photographer would want a 20″ laptop, the two main reasons I can think of include editing photos between the wedding and the reception and also displaying some of the best photos at the reception for the guests to see. It’s something that not a lot of photographers are doing right now and if you are a wedding photographer it might be what sets you apart and helps you get that next job.
